I spent my childhood in Providence, Rhode Island before heading west to California for college. I received a love of travel from my parents and, after college, globetrotted for a year on the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, studying evolution and the origins of life on six continents. You can read a little about my journey here. After I returned to the USA, my wife and I have been enjoying married life since 2014.
I am Christian. I enjoy learning languages, playing chess (my favorite game and favorite commentator), cooking and baking, Suio Ryu, 3D printing, and digital design. I also played bass for The Seventh Season.
